
Toyota offers Certified Used Vehicles
In order to become a Toyota Certified Used Vehicle (TCUV) a vehicle must undergo a rigerous number of tests and meet all of the standards listed below. Only Toyota vehicles are eligible. In addition, such vehicles must have been originally distributed by Toyota Canada Inc. All Toyota models are eligible.
- Eligible Toyota vehicles must be:
- 2004 or newer
- less than 140,000km
- less than 72 months from the original in service date
- Vehicle cannot have a history, including, but not limited to any of the following:
- Frame damage
- Unknown kilometreage
- Evidence of rust or corrosion
- Salvage or flood
- Vehicle must have a current CarProof® claims report
- Vehicle cannot have any modifications*, including, but not limited to:
- Body modifications
- Powertrain modifications
- Aftermarket turbochargers or superchargers
- Suspension modifications - lowered, raised, altered 4WD
*[Non-Factory TRD modifications are not acceptable]
- Vehicle must pass the Toyota Certified Used Vehicle 127-point Quality Assurance Inspection performed by a Toyota Factory-Trained Technician.
- Vehicle must have a minimum of 12 months / 20,000 kms Powertrain and Roadside Assistance coverage.
- Vehicle must be delivered with a full tank of gas.
- Offer a 7 day / 1500 kms (whichever comes first) exchange policy for another TCUV vehicle of equal or greater value
- Provide the fist oil / filter change for free.
Special Note: Commercial Exclusion - Any vehicle that has been or will be used as a commercial vehicle, including, but not limited to the following services: snow removal, paid for transport (taxi, limousine, freight transport, etc.) police or security, driver education, emergency services, used as a service vehicle for a business, public service, business delivery or courier services, oil/mining or forestry industry, construction vehicles (contractors, installers, repairmen, delivery etc.), vehicles used for racing or offroad activities are not eligible for ECP plans or Toyota Certified Used Vehicle Plan.
